I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine used to work at Sai Pawnee Corporation in Newberg, OR and he once said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets organisations to effectively manage the many types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are many advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other product advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a little more investigating to work out which products offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Newberg as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
