I have spent the last couple of months looking for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A colleague of mine worked at Myrtle Beach International Air – Info Booth in Myrtle Beach, SC and she said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software lets organisations to effectively manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are numerous benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are further benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the best way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a bit more investigating to determine which packages offer the best features and the most value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Myrtle Beach as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
