I have spent the last couple of months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine worked at Airmech Inc in Murrieta, CA and he said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really should narrow it down to the top software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are frequently the easiest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a bit more investigating to see which packages offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Murrieta as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
