I have spent the last 2 months searching for the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A friend of mine used to work at Morris Municipal Airport in Morris, IL and he once said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are other product advantages but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really should reduce the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are often the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do some more reading to determine which packages offer the best features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Morris as well as a number of IT businesses presenting this as a service.
