I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A colleague of mine worked at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, MN and he once said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables organisations to easily manage the various types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are many benefits of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are further benefits but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are often the easiest way to make the right decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My plan is to do some more research to see which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Minneapolis as well as a number of IT businesses presenting this as a service.
