I have spent the last 2 months investigating the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A relative of mine used to work at Cirrus Flight Operations Inc in Minneapolis, MN and he said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets organisations to easily manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are more advantages but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really should narrow it down to the top software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are generally the quickest way to make the right decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do some more reading to determine which products offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Minneapolis as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
