I have spent the last few months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine used to work at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, MN and he once said they never used that style of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software lets organisations to easily manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are a number of benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are other product advantages but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should narrow it down to the top software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do some more research to determine which packages offer the best features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Minneapolis as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
