I have spent the last 2 months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at Mountain Home Flight Service in Midway, AR and he said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software enables companies to effectively manage the many types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are numerous advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to narrow it down to the top software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more research to work out which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Midway as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
