I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which way to go. A colleague of mine worked at Deer Horn Aviation Limited Co in Midland, TX and she said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do some more investigating to determine which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Midland as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
