I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A relative of mine briefly worked at Laurinburg-Maxton Airport Commission – Executive Director in Maxton, NC and she said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to effectively manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are a number of advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are further product advantages but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really must reduce the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are often the best way to make a good decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a bit more investigating to determine which products offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Maxton as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
