I have spent the last few months looking for the most reliable contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Rice County Aviation in Lyons, KS and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets companies to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides clarity

There are other product advantages but these are what matters most to me and often to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must reduce the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a bit more reading to work out which packages offer the most features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Lyons as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
