I have spent the last couple of months investigating the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A colleague of mine worked at Berry’s Limited in Lubbock, TX and she said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but these are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really must shorten the list to the best software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a bit more research to determine which packages offer the most features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Lubbock as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
