I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Pacific Aviation Corp. in Los Angeles, CA and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets companies to easily manage the different types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are further benefits but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really must shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a bit more investigating to determine which packages offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Los Angeles as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
