I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A relative of mine worked at Lorain Port Authority in Lorain, OH and she said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but those are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really have to shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more research to work out which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Lorain as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
