I have spent the last few months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Aero Aviation in Long Beach, CA and he once said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets organisations to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are other advantages but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really must narrow it down to the best software based on features, cost, and then on online reviews. Software program reviews are generally the easiest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do a bit more research to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Long Beach as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
