I have spent the last couple of months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A colleague of mine worked at Logan Cache Airport Authority in Logan, UT and he said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are a number of advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really must reduce the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Software program reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more reading to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Logan as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
