I have spent the last few months searching for the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A friend of mine used to work at Lancaster Airport Authority in Lititz, PA and he once said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to show why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software allows companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are other product advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do some more investigating to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Lititz as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
