I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A colleague of mine used to work at Litchfield Aviation Services in Litchfield, MN and he said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables organisations to effectively manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are many reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are other product advantages but they are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do a little more reading to see which packages offer the most features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Litchfield as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
