I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles, LA and he said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are a number of benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other benefits but those are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really must reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do some more investigating to determine which programs offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Lake Charles as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
