I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A friend of mine used to work at Ketchikan International Airport – Airport Manager’s Office Airport Ferry in Ketchikan, AK and he said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to show why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows organisations to effectively manage the various types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are numerous benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are further benefits but they are what matters most to me and often to other corporations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really should reduce the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are frequently the easiest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do some more reading to see which programs offer the best features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Ketchikan as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
