I have spent the last couple of months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A relative of mine briefly worked at Crest Airpark in Kent, WA and he said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous advantages of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to narrow it down to the top software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are often the easiest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do some more investigating to see which packages offer the most features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Kent as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
