I have spent the last 2 months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine worked at Days Inn Kalamazoo Airport in Kalamazoo, MI and he said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables organisations to easily manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are a number of advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides clarity

There are other benefits but those are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must narrow it down to the best software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do some more reading to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Kalamazoo as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
