I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine worked at Omega Aviation Services in Houston, TX and he said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this specific type of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software allows companies to easily manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more benefits but these are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really must narrow it down to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are frequently the quickest way to make the right decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a bit more investigating to work out which packages offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Houston as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
