I have spent the last 2 months looking for the best contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A relative of mine briefly worked at Hammonds Air Service in Houma, LA and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows organisations to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are many advantages of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are other advantages but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are often the best way to make a good decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more reading to work out which packages offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Houma as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
