I have spent the last few months investigating the best contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A friend of mine briefly worked at Aero-Smith Inc in Hagerstown, MD and he said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets organisations to easily manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are other benefits but these are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really have to shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do some more research to determine which products offer the best features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Hagerstown as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
