I have spent the last couple of months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine used to work at Jet Center South in Gulf Shores, AL and he said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to show why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software enables enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I would like it to do. There are numerous reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other benefits but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a little more research to work out which packages offer the most features and the best value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Gulf Shores as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
