I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Oconee Air Service in Greensboro, GA and he said they never used that kind of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of advantages of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are more product advantages but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to narrow it down to the best software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are often the quickest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a little more reading to work out which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Greensboro as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
