I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A friend of mine briefly worked at Cook County – County Offices, Switchboard & in Grand Marais, MN and she said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software enables organisations to effectively manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I would like it to do. There are numerous benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are more advantages but they are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Blueridge Software
• Memba Context

I really have to narrow it down to the top software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the quickest way to make the right decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do a bit more reading to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Grand Marais as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
