I have spent the last couple of months investigating the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Freeport City – Airport in Freeport, IL and he said they never used that kind of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets organisations to easily manage the many types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides clarity

There are other benefits but those are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do some more reading to see which products offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Freeport as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
