I have spent the last few months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Bourland Dick in Fort Worth, TX and he once said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I would like it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the best software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are generally the best way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do a bit more reading to see which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Fort Worth as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
