I have spent the last few months looking for the best contract management software and am still at a loss as to which way to go. A relative of mine worked at Sheltair in Fort Lauderdale, FL and she said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables organisations to effectively manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many advantages of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are further product advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should shorten the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the quickest way to make the right decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a bit more investigating to see which products offer the best features and the most value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Fort Lauderdale as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
