I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A relative of mine used to work at Four Corners Regional Airport in Farmington, NM and he said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are other benefits but those are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should narrow it down to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Product reviews are often the easiest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a bit more research to determine which packages offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Farmington as well as a number of IT businesses presenting this as a service.
