I have spent the last few months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine briefly worked at Fairhope Municipal Airport in Fairhope, AL and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets organisations to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really must shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are often the best way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do some more reading to work out which programs offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Fairhope as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
