I have spent the last couple of months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A relative of mine worked at Port Of Ephrata – Administration in Ephrata, WA and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software allows companies to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are other advantages but these are what matters most to me and often to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must shorten the list to the best software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make the right decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a bit more research to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Ephrata as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
