I have spent the last 2 months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine worked at Gillespie Field Partners in El Cajon, CA and she said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more advantages but those are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• ProCon

I really must shorten the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are frequently the easiest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My next step is to do some more reading to determine which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in El Cajon as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
