I have spent the last couple of months looking for the most reliable contract management software and am still at a loss as to which way to go. A colleague of mine worked at Republic Parking System in Eglin Afb, FL and he said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software enables companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are further product advantages but these are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really have to shorten the list to the top software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the easiest way to make the right decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do a little more investigating to determine which packages offer the most features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Eglin Afb as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
