I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A friend of mine used to work at Converse County Airport in Douglas, WY and he said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows companies to easily manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are numerous reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are further benefits but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really have to shorten the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do a little more reading to see which products offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Douglas as well as a number of IT businesses providing this as a service.
