I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Great Lakes Pilot Shop LLC in Detroit, MI and he once said they never used that type of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this specific type of software. I tried to discuss why I want to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to easily manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I would like it to do. There are many benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• improves clarity

There are further advantages but these are what matters most to me and generally to other corporations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really have to narrow it down to the best software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are often the best way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a bit more research to work out which products offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Detroit as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
