I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at United Airlines in Dayton, OH and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to show why I want to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets organisations to effectively manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are often the best way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a little more reading to work out which products offer the best features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Dayton as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
