I have spent the last couple of months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A relative of mine briefly worked at Columbus Metropolitan Airport – Fire Department in Columbus, GA and he said they never used that style of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets enterprises to effectively manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are many advantages of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other advantages but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are frequently the easiest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next step is to do a little more investigating to work out which programs offer the most features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Columbus as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
