I have spent the last few months investigating the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A relative of mine briefly worked at Buena Vista-Central Colorado Regional Airport in Colorado Springs, CO and he said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are other benefits but these are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must shorten the list to the best software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a bit more investigating to determine which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Colorado Springs as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
