I have spent the last few months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A colleague of mine used to work at Freeman Dean in Colorado Springs, CO and she said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software enables companies to easily manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are a number of reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are further advantages but those are what matters most to me and generally to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really must narrow it down to the top software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are generally the best way to make a final decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a little more reading to determine which programs offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Colorado Springs as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
