I have spent the last 2 months investigating the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A colleague of mine used to work at Horizon County Airport Corporation in Cleveland, OH and he once said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to efficiently manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous benefits of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other businesses.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are frequently the best way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a little more reading to work out which programs offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Cleveland as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
