I have spent the last few months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still at a loss as to which program to buy. A friend of mine used to work at Clearfield Lawrence Township Joint Airport Authority in Clearfield, PA and he once said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this type of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets companies to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least in my case what I want it to do. There are a number of reasons for using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but these are what matters most to me and often to other corporations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are generally the quickest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a bit more reading to determine which packages offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Clearfield as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
