I have spent the last 2 months looking for the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A friend of mine briefly worked at Camden Air Center Inc in Camden, SC and she said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets companies to effectively manage the different types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure very consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are numerous benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other benefits but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really must narrow it down to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on online reviews. Software program reviews are often the easiest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a little more investigating to see which products offer the most features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Camden as well as a number of IT companies presenting this as a service.
