I have spent the last few months searching for the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which product to get. A friend of mine worked at Wilson Industries Inc in Burlington, NC and she said they never used that style of software and could not understand why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I want to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to easily manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I want it to do. There are numerous reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Blueridge Software
• Memba Context

I really have to narrow it down to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are often the easiest way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a little more investigating to see which packages offer the most features and the most value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Burlington as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
