I have spent the last couple of months searching for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at Branson Regional Airport in Branson, MO and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software allows organisations to efficiently manage the many types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is effectively what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are many advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• lowers risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more advantages but those are what matters most to me and often to other businesses.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Open Windows
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really have to narrow it down to the top software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are often the best way to make the right decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My plan is to do a little more investigating to work out which packages offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Branson as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
