I have spent the last couple of months investigating the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine worked at Warren County Airport in Bowling Green, KY and he once said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are numerous advantages of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more product advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• IntelliContract
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really have to narrow it down to the best software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are often the best way to make the right decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more investigating to see which programs offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Bowling Green as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
