I have spent the last couple of months looking for the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A friend of mine briefly worked at Southeast Texas Regional Airport in Beaumont, TX and he said they never used that type of software and could not comprehend why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software allows companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• IntelliContract
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• ProCon

I really have to reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on online reviews. Software program reviews are frequently the best way to make a final decision before purchasing software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do a little more research to work out which packages offer the best features and the most value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Beaumont as well as a number of IT organisations providing this as a service.
