I have spent the last couple of months investigating the best contract management software and am still unsure as to which way to go. A colleague of mine used to work at Southeast Texas Regional Airport in Beaumont, TX and he once said they never used that style of software and could not make sense of why I want to get this type of software. I tried to show why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software allows enterprises to easily manage the many types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are numerous benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are more benefits but these are what matters most to me and generally to other businesses.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Open Windows
• IntelliContract
• Ketera Contract Management Express
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the top software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are generally the quickest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this type of software.

My plan is to do a bit more investigating to work out which products offer the greatest features and the most value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Beaumont as well as a number of IT businesses providing this as a service.
